Hope Has a Name
[Valley Church]
Christmas 2021 at Valley Church was in need of a campaign so we came up with a couple of different routes.
The brief was super simple: Hope. As a team we had a couple of ideation sessions and the outcome was; 1. ‘A Thrill of Hope’, and 2. ‘Hope has a name’. Both directions were viable and I was pretty excited whichever way we decided to go. In the end Hope has a name won and the campaign was fleshed out from there.
Based on the direction chosen we started developing the campaign and the assets surrounding it. One major asset developed is the main pattern that was used throughout.
It’s more abstract and therefore less obvious. We hoped that this would, in turn, make people ask questions and spark conversations.
Roll-out included a flyer with all the events over Christmas and a discount for the church’s coffee shop too. Yum.
A couple of animated social posts for the Christmas Market event
A couple of poster designs for the campaign, one more simple and stripped back and one with the different event details too.
The Christmas Special social posts and slide designs were created on a very tight deadline (same day) to promote the event in time.
Lower thirds for a couple of video announcements in services
One of the biggest deliverables for this project was an animated video which would be played in sync with the worship team on Christmas Eve to the track ‘Away in a Manger’.
This was achieved through a click track to one side of the stereo audio and the music on the other (like the way most churches use tracks for worship).
